HANDBUILDING and FOR INTERMEDIATE to ADVANCED STUDENTS
You already have some hand-building experience and you want to take your work to the next level. Intermediate students will learn additional skills in hand-building, going beyond the slab and ornament experience to discover techniques for elaborate plates, different shapes for mugs and bowls and add sculptured designs and unique handles to your pieces. Teapots and casseroles will be part of this class. Attention to new decorating skills such as carving, underglaze and glazing effects will be explored. Learning to use a critical eye for smooth and clean surfaces and how to become your own best critique will be a focus.
Includes up to 25 lbs of clay, glazes and firing of up to 5 pieces.

If class registration is fewer than 4 registrations, the class will be canceled and your fee will be returned to you.
Cancelation policy:
We are a small business with small classes. Each cancelation effects us more than if we were a larger company. With all cancelations, we will refund the full amount if we can fill your seat with another registrant at any time before the first class if the class is at capacity.
